Begin with the task name
Aon's official candidate page describes multiple assessment types and provides practice resources. Use the task name in your invitation to choose relevant familiarisation material. A numerical exercise, a planning task and a situational judgement exercise require different approaches.
Read data statements precisely
Aon's candidate materials include numerical and verbal tasks in which you evaluate statements. Distinguish a contradicted statement from one the supplied information cannot settle. For a data question, check what period the data cover and whether a comparison uses totals, averages or percentages.
Original worked example: a missing total
A report says that 70% of this month's orders were online. It gives no total for this month or the previous month. Statement: online orders increased from last month. Answer: Cannot say. The share alone does not establish the current online count, and there is no earlier count to compare. The statement might be true or false while the supplied share remains 70%.
Build speed through a fixed routine
- Read the statement and identify the exact measure requested.
- Locate the relevant table, passage or rule.
- Check units, comparison period and qualifying words.
- Decide what the evidence establishes, not what seems likely.
Use the actual instructions
Timing, permitted aids and task mechanics depend on the assessment. Our generic practice explains underlying reasoning and does not imitate an Aon interface or give an Aon-equivalent score. Use official examples to understand the controls and ask the recruiting contact about any access requirements before the actual assessment.
