What to expect from the actual CCAT
Criteria describes the CCAT as 50 questions in 15 minutes, covering verbal, math and logic, and spatial reasoning. Calculators are not allowed. Check the official candidate guide and your invitation before taking your assessment. Provider facts were checked on 18 October 2026.
Build accuracy before pace
Start with mental percentages, ratios and averages. For vocabulary, compare meanings rather than spelling. For a logical conclusion, ask what must be true rather than what is plausible. Visual questions require rotation and position tracking; our introductory set uses verbal, arithmetic and text-based logical exercises, so it does not reproduce the full range of spatial formats.
Make a time decision
In a short assessment, recognise when a calculation is taking too long. Practise choosing a method, estimating and moving on when necessary. Do not treat a low completion count in an early practice session as evidence about your employment prospects.
How this practice differs
Our ten questions are an introductory skill drill, not an official CCAT simulation. The optional site timer allows 90 seconds per item and its score has no CCAT percentile equivalence. Use feedback mode first. When you are comfortable, time your own short practice intervals and record which question types slow you down.
Practise a full-length timed format
Try our 50-question, 15-minute CCAT-style paper, with raw scoring and an explicitly disclosed independent item mix. The short set below develops underlying skills.
Your first practice session
Try mental calculation without a calculator. This is a ten-question introductory drill, not the official 50-question assessment. Our timer and marking do not reproduce CCAT rules.
