Letter Series: key points

In a letter series the letters follow a fixed pattern, and you must find the term that comes next.

  • Number the letters: A = 1, B = 2 ... Z = 26.
  • Check the gap between consecutive terms: it may be constant, or grow by one each time.
  • In two-letter terms, follow each position separately.
  • Opposite letters add up to 27: A-Z, B-Y, C-X and so on.
