  7. Scoring is shown before you begin. Unanswered questions carry no penalty. Feedback mode has no time limit or negative marking.
  8. Click Submit when you have finished. Your report then shows every answer, its solution and the time you spent on each question.

Practice mode has no clock and no negative marking; the answer and solution appear as soon as you choose an option.

Geometry Test 1: questions and answers

Take the test first if you want an honest score. The answers and solutions below are folded away until you open them.

  1. 1. Find the perimeter of a rectangle whose length is 14 cm and breadth is 4 cm.
    1. 36 cm
    2. 56 cm
    3. 32 cm
    4. 48 cm

Reference: q-c9d87567-77 · Report this question

    Show answer and solution

    Answer: A. 36 cm

    Perimeter = 2 × (length + breadth) = 2 × 18 = 36 cm.
  2. 2. Find the area of a circle of radius 14 cm. (Take π = 22/7)
    1. 647 sq cm
    2. 308 sq cm
    3. 88 sq cm
    4. 616 sq cm

Reference: q-321c5633-59 · Report this question

    Show answer and solution

    Answer: D. 616 sq cm

    Area = πr² = 22/7 × 14 × 14 = 616 sq cm.
  3. 3. Two angles of a triangle measure 62° and 56°. Find the third angle.
    1. 242°
    2. 62°
    3. 28°
    4. 82°

Reference: q-38fddf5f-68 · Report this question

    Show answer and solution

    Answer: B. 62°

    The angles of a triangle add up to 180°. Third angle = 180° − 62° − 56° = 62°.
  4. 4. The two shorter sides of a right-angled triangle are 15 cm and 36 cm. Find the length of its hypotenuse.
    1. 39 cm
    2. 41 cm
    3. 40 cm
    4. 51 cm

Reference: q-2ddc3c90-105 · Report this question

    Show answer and solution

    Answer: A. 39 cm

    Hypotenuse = √(15² + 36²) = √1521 = 39 cm.
  5. 5. What is the sum of the interior angles of a dodecagon (12 sides)?
    1. 2340°
    2. 1980°
    3. 1800°
    4. 1440°

Reference: q-2d02349e-66 · Report this question

    Show answer and solution

    Answer: C. 1800°

    Sum of interior angles = (n − 2) × 180° = 10 × 180° = 1800°.
  6. 6. Find the total surface area of a cube whose edge is 4 cm.
    1. 64 sq cm
    2. 112 sq cm

    4. 96 sq cm

Reference: q-d89f1009-58 · Report this question

    Show answer and solution

    Answer: D. 96 sq cm

    Total surface area = 6 × edge² = 6 × 16 = 96 sq cm.
  7. 7. Find the perimeter of a rectangle whose length is 35 cm and breadth is 18 cm.
    1. 630 cm
    2. 104 cm
